Launched in 2017, Plum started with a single goal; to change the way wine is served to match the way we live. Their vision is simple; deliver a fully automatic appliance that perfectly preserves and chills wine so we can enjoy it one glass at a time.

"We were tired of wanting a glass but not wanting to waste the bottle, or pouring good wine down the drain because it had been open too long. Some nights we wanted a glass of red and our partner wanted white, but we didn’t want to open two bottles. And we were frustrated with waiting for our wine to reach serving temperature, and trying to keep it there.

We wanted to enjoy each glass just as the winemaker intended. So we set out to build an appliance that was beautiful enough to look great in our living room or on our kitchen counter, and advanced enough to fully automate preservation and cooling. We wanted it to be easy enough to use that it would become a part of our routine."

Why Plum?

90-Day Preservation - Plum’s motorized needle pierces the foil and closure, preserving your wine with argon gas. Plum extracts the wine when you’re ready to drink it, in customized servings, for up to 90 days. 

Any Bottle, Any Closure - Plum works with any standard 750ml bottle of wine with any closure, including natural cork, engineered cork, artificial cork and even metal screw caps.

Wine Recognition - Each bottle chamber has an integrated HD camera that scans the label and automatically identifies the varietal, vintage, region, winery and wine.

Individually Chilled - Plum’s two silent cooling chambers are automatically set to the perfect serving temperature for each varietal, so you can have chardonnay at 48 degrees and cabernet at 66 degrees. Customize the temperature to suit your individual taste.

Fully Automated - Plum automatically identifies the vintage, varietal, region, winery and wine, connecting to rich content that lets you step into the tasting room without leaving your home.

Customized Servings - Pour a 5-ounce glass, a 1-ounce taste, or customize your serving sizes. Plum’s dual spouts pour each wine directly from the bottle to your glass.

7" Touchscreen - Plum’s 7-inch, full-color touchscreen lights up as you approach, displaying the wine labels and letting you serve a glass or just a taste. 

Automatic Cleaning - Plum has a built-in automated cleaning system, so it's always ready to pour the perfect glass.

Customizable Placement - Plum fits perfectly on a standard kitchen countertop, and it can be inserted into customized cabinetry.
